People Have Drab Bathroom Decorations

So many people have drab bathroom decorations when they spend good money keeping the rest of their homes looking nice; redecoration has another advantage however: that of increasing the value of your home. With the amount of time we spend in this room why shouldn't it look and feel relaxing and an enjoyable? Why shouldn't this room be a pleasant place to visit especially when you may relax in a bath for 30 minutes or more.

After all, if the rest of your home is well presented, why would you want your bathroom decorating ideas to let you down? The kitchen used to be another place that wasn't a high priority but all that has changed as the average family spends more time there so why not the bathroom as well.

If you are stuck for bathroom decorating ideas then why not use some that you have used elsewhere in your home and when you think about it this makes perfect sense. If for example your home uses low tables as part of the decoration then it will follow that a low table will look equally as good in the bathroom. If you have a table with a shelf underneath, why not place a few selected magazines of books on there to really set the tone.

This can also work the other way, if you have used certain decorating or furnishing ideas in your bathroom then why not extend some of those to other areas of your home? Wall and floor tile are a prime example of this transfer of decorating ideas which can be seen in many homes.

But a bathroom tile that sets of one room can also provide a welcome alternative to the bland, white look so popular in kitchen these days. Whilst it is the tiling aspect that tends to dominate kitchens and bathrooms, there are many other bathroom decorating ideas that can be used.

Soap dishes and soap trays are becoming more fashionable and some designs are really effective. Some home decoration periodicals have sections on making items for you home including soap dishes and trays.

There was even a suggestion of how to make them with clay which is not a material that would automatically spring to mind but does provide certain flexibility. I have always found that even if you do nothing else, a relaxing picture, perhaps of woodland, lake or seashore can make a great deal of difference to a bathroom. With the materials and information available today, there is no excuse not to turn your bathroom into something very special.
